I am Daniel and I live in Gävle, in the middle of Sweden. Besides my interest in denim I like to surround myself with friends, family and enjoy myself with good music. I love the energy that a good live music show gives me.
- Why do you share your outfits? And why Instagram?
I started my account to see what it would bring me. Could I get to know others with similar interest, could anyone even like my uploads? Instagram is the most user-friendly way to share pictures of my interest.
- What makes your Instagram feed so special?
My feed is special… well is it really? Just trying to upload when I feel in the mood and if that’s special, we’ll it’s up to others to decide.
- Where does your inspiration come from?
Since I started from scratch, the inspiration at the time were other Instagram accounts. I wanted to try to do the same thing, but always with my touch to it.
- Where does your love for denim come from? When did it start?
I always had a passion for denim, but it really started about 10 years ago when my wife had a store with jeans and accessories. Then it just got bigger and bigger…
I love denim because of the way it ages and to see and follow the journey of the fabric. From a pair of unwashed jeans until the day of retirement!
- Your top 3 favorite (denim)brands?
By looking at my feed I think you can understand that I like, Nudie Jeans, the Swedish pride. I’ve been a Nudie jeans fan ever since I got my first pair of jeans. Another denim brand I like is Lee, especially their 101-collection. I can’t get enough of their knowledge when it comes to denim, and I love, without question, what they’re doing at the moment. I also like the upcoming Swedish brand SoSo Clothing, be sure to check them out. They offer custom made jeans and some really cool features. I could go on for a while, because the list of awesome brands is so long.
- What is your favorite accessory?
My favorite accessory? Well, I always keep my phone with me of course, besides that a good wallet and a nice belt with a neat keychain is a must have. My keychain, a really nice piece, is from the Swedish brand Crud Sweden. The belt, which I have been using since December 2014, I actually made myself. I am pretty sure it is a one of a kind!
- What items do you wear the most at the moment?
There are a lot of jeans in rotation right now, but I try to give these three a little extra attention: My 13.5 oz. Grim Tim from Nudie Jeans, the 12 oz. Lee Rider and my SoSo jeans made from 25 oz. Double Indigo Denim – The last one is a tough bastard!
- What is your favorite shop? And what is your favorite webstore?
I like the Nudie Jeans repair shops, been visiting them all from here in Sweden, to London to New York.
When it comes to webstores, I like the German page Cultizm, great store with super reliable service! Also, I visit the Swedish webstores Hep Cat Store and Meadow as often as possible. Mainly the webstores of brands are good, just look at Nudie’s and Lee’s webstore.
- Do you care about the production process?
Since being such a big fan of Nudie Jeans, it’s nice to know that all their products are organically produced and they are into taking care of their stuff, from selling, repairing and recycling them. It is of great importance to me that brands that I like try to uphold an eco-friendly way of producing their denim. Besides, I think it is important that the men and women in the manufactories stay okay!
- What are your dreams for the future?
Future, personally, stay healthy and taking care of myself and my family in the best possible ways. For @redrawdenim, keep it up and keep showing great stuff for everyone to see.
