BDD x Cultizm x Robin Denim fading contest
Benzak Denim Developers, Cultizm and Robin Denim partnered up to create a special pair of jeans exclusively for a new fading contest, made from Japanese selvedge denim with amazing fading potential. The contest will be limited to 50 participants and there will be prizes for the winners up to €1.000 store credits at Cultizm. Pre-order starts on August 1st, so mark your calendar!
Benzak Denim Developers, is an Amsterdam based denim brand, that combines the Japanese attention to detail with European fits. The brand consists of two lines, one produced in Japan and the other one in Portugal, both offering a wide selection of jeans. Besides jeans, the ‘European Made’ collection also includes a range of sweats and tees.
Cultizm is an online denim ‘Walhalla’, offering a selection of over 90 brands. The Cultizm web store is the place to visit when you are in need of either a new pair of jeans or boots, shirts, jackets and so forth.
After having mentioned this we are therefore very proud to collaborate with BDD and Cultizm on this contest. This will include 12 months of fun, fades and at the end… great prizes!
The contest
The fading contest will last 12 months, starting on November 1st 2017 and it ends on October 31st 2018. During these 12 months, the main goal is to create the best faded pair of jeans the world has ever seen. In order to be able to participate you need to have an Instagram account and post at least one picture each month.
From August 1st up to and including August 31st you will be able to pre-order the contest jeans for €199 at Cultizm. Apart from the jeans, you will also receive a limited edition Contest Tee. We need the month of September to produce the jeans, and will deliver these on your doorstep in October
Moreover, the official start of the contest on November 1st is also the perfect time to start wearing a new, crispy pair of raw denim.
The jeans
The jeans, exclusively made for this contest and limited to only 50 pairs, is designed by Benzak Denim Developers. The fabric is woven by the famous Japanese denim mill Collect, in Okayama, Japan. We have carefully selected this specific 15 oz. fabric for its subtle slubs and great fading potential. The jeans are cut and sewn in a small factory in Portugal, in order to guarantee fair wages and an eco-friendly production process. This is also the first time BDD has used a Japanese fabric for their European production, calling it the first ‘hybrid’ of both lines.
The B-01 fit is a modern mid-rise slim fit, which follows a slim silhouette all the way, but provides enough room to feel comfortable in a heavy, non-stretch fabric.
As mentioned before, along with the purchase of the jeans comes a limited edition Contest Tee. It is made of 100% cotton, features a small chest pocket and has a contest print at the back.

If the competition and the jeans haven’t already convinced you, the prizes will!
