I am double indigo from Nanjing in the east of China and I think every tomorrow keeps me awake at night. Tomorrow, I can wear denim, I can make friends and learn lots of new things.. I am always excited for tomorrow!
My favorite hotspots are all related with indigo! My favorite food is Chinese Hot Pot. It is a traditional food in China. People gathering around a small pot boiled on charcoal, electric or gas. The soup base is flavourful, nutritious and you can choose whether you want it spicy or not. Within the soup are thin slices of raw meat, fish, various bean curd products and all kinds of vegetables. You then dip them in a little bowl of special sauce. Be careful because the spicy soup base is burning hot!
My passion besides denim are sneakers.

Why do you share your outfits? And why Instagram?
I love the vintage and denim culture and everything about fashion. When checking my feed, you can see me combine vintage denim with chic sneakers, I just do what I love to do. Via my Instagram and my blog, I want to share my attitude and my lifestyle.

What makes your Instagram feed so special?
I see my Instagram as a personal terrace. I post pictures that display my life and I think that isn’t special at all since everybody does. I think why people like my photos is my passion for raw denim and fashion and the combinations thereof. I love to share, love to wear, and love to fade my denim.

Where does your inspiration come from?
There are always some different thoughts in my mind. I really want to be true and special. I often read articles in magazines, check the outfits of fashion icons like Kimura Takuya.

Where does your love for denim come from? When did it start?
I love the culture of denim. When I was in college I got addicted to denim because of Levi’s. At that time, famous icons like Kimura Takuya and Edison Chen wore a lot of denim. When I saw them wearing denim, I wanted a pair myself and bought my first pair of Levi’s. And then, you all know, I bought another one, one after the other. All of my first pairs of denim where from Levi’s from Levi’s Vintage Clothing.
And now, a few years later, I think denim can record my life, my style and then can also express my attitude of life. All my jeans are beautiful pairs and made by hand. When I wear them, I can feel the culture and the handcrafted spirit. I think that every pair of boots, denim and workwear all have a spirit in them.

Your top 3 favorite (denim)brands?
It is very hard to choose just three different brands, but okay; Companion denim, Visvim and Hysteric Glamour.
Companion Denim because everything is handmade. They make classic jeans but with lots of details. I can feel the spirit in their products.
The materials of Visvim are so good. The designs of their products are outstanding and so comfortable.
I like Hysteric Glamour for their incredible designs. You should have a item of this brand at least.

What is your favorite accessory?
My favorite accessory is a leather bag. For me, a bag is essential for my daily life because I work with them, travel with them and shop with them. My favorite leathers bags are from brands like; RRL, Lucky John, Tanner Goods and Mt hill.

What items do you wear the most at the moment?
Denim, of course! In my opinion denim is suitable for almost every occasion. I have more than 50 pair of jeans in my collection, both washed and unwashed.
This year I am wearing my Companion Denim al lot. This pair of jeans is handmade and make me feel the culture of the brand.
When I put on a washed denim, I like to wear my Hysteric Glamour. I look cool in this pair of jeans and they are handmade by Japanese artisans. They are nicely faded and have a suitable fit.

What is your favorite shop? And what is your favorite webstore?
My favorite store is the RRL store. Everything in this store is vintage. When I walk in the store, I can not help buying everything I see.
My favorite webstore is also RRL because it often has discounts.. uh ,haha.

Do you care about the production process?
Yes, I do! This is very important to me and decisive when choosing the products. I need to know all about the production process so that I can know the features of the product.
Sometimes, a product is too expensive. Why they are so expensive? The awesome production process can often explain this.

What are your dreams for the future?
Uh.. I would be the distributor of many brands. In the future, I want to explore more and more interesting brands and products. I want to let the Chinese customer know these interesting brands and help them enjoy the products that they’ve never touched before. Maybe I want to be a pioneer of denim in China, make more and more people love denim and know the culture of denim.
