Winter is coming guys.. Not sure what the weather looks like at your part of the world, but here in Northern Europe, winter is already knocking on our doors. With an ice cold wind and lots of rain, the time will arrive soon to start wearing those heavyweight jeans.

Momotaro Jeans 0405-18

Momotaro’s 0405-18 is made from 18 oz. heavy and sturdy Japanese selvedge denim and is completely made of Zimbabwean cotton. The jeans feature typical Momotaro details like a peach (pink) inseam stitching and selvedge ID and Momotaro branded hardware. The jeans come in a regular fit with a high(er) rise and tapered legs. Completely fabricated in Okayama, Japan and available at Cultizm for a price of €299.

3sixteen CT-121x Shadow Selvedge

3sixteen recently restocked the 17 oz. 121x Shadow Selvedge fabric in three different fits. The fits, the Straight Leg (SL), the Slim tapered fit (ST), and the Classic Tapered fit (CT), will cover almost every body type. The fabric is exclusively woven for 3sixteen by the Japanese denim mill Kuroki and has a crunchy and rough feel and is tonal stitched. Concerning the details, the CT-121x features gunmetal shanks and rivets, selvedge details on the fly, a coin pocket, and a heavyweight leather patch made by Tanner Goods. 3sixteen’s CT-121x comes at a price of €225 and is available at their web store.

Naked & Famous Broken Elephant 6

This year, Naked & Famous already dropped their 6th version of the unabated popular Elephant series. The Elephant 6 is made from a 22 oz. broken twill fabric, with a classic dark indigo warp and a white weft. The jeans are constructed with a contrast stitching and completed with a super thick buffalo leather patch. The Elephant 6 is available in three different fits and for the hardcore denim heads Naked & Famous released the Broken Elephant 6 denim jacket. The Elephant 6 is available for €150 at Tate + Yoko.

Benzak Denim Developers BDD-006 Heavy Slub

Weighted at 16 oz., the Heavy Slub is the heaviest fabric available at Benzak Denim Developers. The fabric is woven from a US cotton blend made by Collect, and features an irregular, open structure. The BDD-006 is a slim fit with a mid-rise, a snug thigh, and slim legs. For the pocketing Benzak used a heavy chambray fabric to prevent them from tearing apart. The jeans is finished with tobacco stitching, Benzak branded hardware, and an embossed natural tanned leather patch. The BDD-006 Heavy Slub is available at Benzak’s web store for €299.

Pure Blue Japan XX-22OZ-013

The XX-22OZ-013 is Pure Blue Japan’s newest heavyweight jeans. The fabric is slowly woven to create an uneven and very ‘slubby’ surface and comes at a weight 22 oz. The jeans are featuring a blue-line selvedge and, of course, the Pure Blue Japan Indigofera leaf embroidery on the right back pocket. The fit, called a slim tapered fit, has a medium rise, slightly slim in the top block, and taper from the thigh down. Finished with custom nickel buttons and a deerskin natural leather patch, the XX-22OZ-013 is priced at €340 and available at Blue Owl.
