Robin Denim x Hans Jellema – Photoshoot Japan Blue Jeans

Commissioned by Japan Blue Jeans, Robin Denim and Hans Jellema teamed up once more to create outstanding and desirable content. With a variety of high-quality garments, which have been on our wish lists for months, we hit the streets of Utrecht looking for the right spots for our shoot.

During the day, we stayed close to Utrecht central station, because this location is perfect if you are looking for extraordinary photos. Just a stone’s throw away from the historical part of Utrecht, this area features many unique spots. As you can see on the photos below, modern architecture is one of the defining characteristics for this area.

In the first part of the shoot, I was wearing a pair of JB7700, featuring Japan Blues signature stitches on the back pockets. This jeans is made of 13.5 oz. Côte d’Ivoire selvedge denim, and due to the regular cut this pair fits perfectly with boots. Another feature that I want to highlight in particular is the unique selvedge ID. With on one end the colors orange, white, and green, featuring Côte d’Ivoire’s flag, while on the other end it has a red and white classic ID, this selvedge is truly unique!

Later that day, I switched to a pair of J6104JZ PREP jeans, from the Japan Blues Vintage Selvage Line, which is an adjusted re-birth of a classic and popular fit. It has a roomy top block, with an aggressive taper all the way down to the hem. The narrow leg, which has my personal preference, is providing a slim and modern silhouette and can be worn perfectly with both boots and sneakers. The jeans features a beautiful red-line selvedge, branded hardware, and a zipper.

On top of the jeans, I have been rotating various items. From a Sashiko denim jacket, to a satin blue/ white jacket, all made by Japan Blue Jeans in Okayama, Japan. All garments shown in the photos below, except the footwear, can be found on Japan Blues web store and they deserve my full recommendation!
