Grant Stone Adds Calf Suede to its Diesel Boot

Even though the industry is going through a level of difficulty and uncertainty at the moment due to the COVID-19 pandemic, shoemakers at the illustrious Grant Stone have not remained idle. While the world is in lock down, Grant Stone have been releasing winner after winner. Building on its strong foundations since they were established in 2015, the brand has been experimenting with new leathers and expanding their already impressive offering. In this instance we have the Diesel Storm Boot Suede, which as you may have guessed, is another fantastic and durable pair of boots from this heritage inspired brand.

Diesel Boot Storm Suede

Grant Stone’s Diesel Boot is their take on the plain toe service boot, and is built for strength and longevity. The brand redesigned the plain toe boot pattern and made them with nothing but proven leather uppers, lining, and insole. Grant Stone currently offer nine variants of the Diesel Boot in different styles, plus some occasional limited releases. With the Diesel Boot in Storm Suede the brand utilized a Vibram Wedge for the very first time, marking new territory for Grant Stone.

The Diesel Boot Storm Suede is built on a Vibram Cavity Wedge outsole, which is a soft and shock-absorbing outsole which provides grip as well as offering high levels of comfort. Due to Goodyear-welt construction, the Diesel Boot is completely re-soleable, making it a boot which will last for decades.

The boot has been built on Grant Stone’s Leo Last, providing comfort and support to the most common foot shapes. For the upper, the brand used a Charles F. Stead Calf Suede leather, which is super soft and durable. Furthermore, the boot is made with a full-grain leather cowhide lining from Milwaukee, WI, and a vegetable-tanned leather insole, welt, and midsole.

The Vibram Cavity Wedge in combination with the soft suede leather makes the Diesel Boot Storm Suede the softest option in Grant Stone’s collection, perfect for those who are used to wearing sneakers or want a lighter boot without sacrificing looks or durability.
