Zanter and Robin Denim Teamed Up for a Limited Indigo Down Jacket
We’ve teamed up with Zanter Japan for a unique, limited-edition indigo collaboration. While Zanter’s jackets are already in a league of their own, our collaboration takes it even further. Together, we’ve created something that we’ve never seen before (it may be the first of its kind). We designed a jacket that blends technical expertise, Japanese craftsmanship, and the timeless beauty of indigo. We are super excited to announce the release of the limited Zanter x Robin Denim 6720 Indigo Down Jacket!

The Collaboration Of Our Dreams
Founded in 1951, Zanter is Japan’s oldest down jacket manufacturer. The brand has a long and rich history and and exceptional levels of expertise. Since 1956, they’ve been the official supplier for down jackets and equipment used by Japan’s Antarctic Research Expedition teams. Following years of admiration, we were surprised to learn that the admiration was mutual. They reached out to and asked if we’d like to collaborate on a jacket. Obviously, we jumped at the opportunity.
We went to Japan to visit the Zanter factory in Yokohama, where we discussed the details of the collaboration and turned a rough outline into a definite design. The result? A unique and limited indigo-dyed down jacket that contains the heart of Zanter and the soul of Robin Denim.
If you’d like to know more about Zanter or the collaboration, we wrote an article about our trip to Zanter that provides more background about the brand and an in-depth look at how the collaboration took shape. You can read it here.

The Zanter x Robin Denim Indigo Down Jacket
The Zanter x Robin Denim Indigo Down Jacket is cut in the brands’ original 6720 silhouette, which was originally designed for Japan’s Antarctic research teams. Developed for extreme cold and harsh winds, the design has been tweaked and refined over the years. The jacket includes thoughtful features such as a double-front closure that blocks out the wind and snow, a large hood, and wide cuffs that can be secured around the wrists or over gloves.
While 600–700 fill power is generally considered good quality and anything over 700 fill power is regarded as high-quality down, this jacket uses Japanese processed 800 fill power down. This is not just quality. It is top-tier premium quality and unsurpassed warmth.
The standout feature of the Zanter x Robin Denim Indigo Down jacket is its fabric. We sourced a unique indigo-dyed high-density cotton Nylon Typewriter fabric—perfect for the colder, wetter months ahead. It has a unique dark indigo blue shade that will fade just like a pair of jeans! Honestly, we were blown away by the beauty of the fabric and how it ages. Other details which are unique to this collaboration, are the addition of rivets (an obvious nod to our shared love for denim) and a custom-made collaboration patch on the inside.
