June’s Favorites
Again an amazing month passed by. Last month we had several cool meetings with friendly denim heads, cool stores and awesome brands. One of the highlights behind the scenes was a meeting with the guys from Momotaro Jeans to discuss their new SS18 collection.
The second event we would like to highlight is our just released Nudie Jeans x Robin Denim Wear & Tear month ‘3 update… You should pay a visit to our contest page to check out the differences between the participants.
Our interview with Jens Olav Dankertsen, founder of Livid, is another highlight of the month June. We discussed the history of Livid, the processes, fabric and vision. If you haven’t already read it, please check our interview part 1 and part 2.
The photos below are the most popular photos we posted last month. Based on your likes and comments only, so thanks to all of you for acting as our jury. Please enjoy the June’s Favorite!
We posted this picture to announce the ‘Our favorite Instagrammers’ interview with Randy a.k.a. @sevenbamboe. Randy, the guy on the right, is wearing one of his favorite pair of Lee jeans, while sitting next to his mate @prima_satria. This photo was taken by our friend @johanmalik80, one of Indonesia’s most famous Instagrammers.
Meadow, one of Sweden’s best denim stores, posted this photo a few months ago. This pictures displays the fade potential of a pair of Levi’s Vintage Clothing. This pair of jeans has been worn for about 4 years and is still going strong, talking about quality…
@fashionbutut2nd, hosted by Zaka, is an account, that popped up on our radar last month, which is truly worth looking into. On this photo, Zaka is wearing a well faded pair of 14 oz. Japan Blue x Momotaro Jeans 0200 SP. This pair of jeans is made from Zimbabwean cotton and, as you can see, turns out very well after wearing.
Another awesome photo by the Swedish store Meadow. This Nudie Jeans Conny denim jacket is one of the heaviest faded jackets we’ve ever seen. The honeycombs as well as the chest pockets are completely blown out. The jacket is worn by @lukac and displayed in the Meadow store in Malmö, Sweden.
From all photos we posted last month, this beautifully faded Lee jeans denim jacket was the most popular. This jacket was made to celebrate Lee’s 125th anniversary and was sold as a limited edition. During the 15 months of wearing, Tamam, an Indonesian student, soaked the jacket only once. The high contrasted fades display the effort that Tamam has put into this jacket..
